Brolly Failure

The connection is waste receptacles….or “bins”!

Photographs of bins aren’t normally considered noteworthy unless they’re over-full, strangely shaped or partially destroyed.  I just liked the way that the presumably broken umbrella had been forced into the mouth of the bin by someone, probably in disgust at the brolly being broken and therefore unable to provide shelter from rain.

Attempting to close the brolly first would’ve enabled the bin to remain in use, but you could understand someone getting angry because of a brolly failure and just stuffing it into a bin.  At least it wasn’t just left on the street.

Apart from assuming how and why the brolly ended up in the bin, I thought the sight of the bin/brolly combination looked interesting, almost as if the bin is trying to eject the brolly by blowing it out of the mouth.  Or, perhaps the bin didn’t want to get wet and it’s part way through opening a brolly to place over itself.  Perhaps the lady on the poster behind the bin is also wondering about the situation.  And you thought it was just a bin!
