018 Air-brushed by a Stranger

The connection is “brushes”, sort of, or perhaps “painters”.  (Perhaps I shouldn’t aim to connect the blog-post titles, although I thought it was worth a try on this occasion.)

This is another example of a photo that could portray an inaccurate back-story.  The close-up of a hooded person could imply that unauthorised decoration of someone else’s property is taking place and the person doesn’t want to be identified if caught in the act.  In fact the painting was taking place on a section of temporary hoarding at a music festival with the full support of the organisers…and being a UK festival the weather wasn’t great, hence the hood!  The scene being painted depicted various aspects of the festival.

I have some photos showing more of the scene, but the close-up could probably find use as a stock photo, eg to illustrate an article about issues surrounding the creation and presence of graffiti.

The problem with choosing this photo as a connection from the previous one is that I may have painted myself into a corner, because there’s not a great deal to make connections from!
